Johnny Hunkle is a name that many people might not know but will remember after they hear his third album Koori Love.

Johnny has performed with many artists including Coloured Stone, Jimmy Little, Kev Carmody and Mixed Relations and has even exchanged musical ideas with the likes of Archie Roach and Midnight Oil’s Peter Garrett.

He has performed at many prestigious events such as Survival and the National Folk Festival in his home town of Canberra.

With Koori Love, Johnny Hunkle’s third album, he’s back bigger and better than ever. The title track Koori Love has an instant infectious likeability.

It has a positive message that we can all relate to. Track 2 is another outstanding track with good use of guitar and nice background vocal works.

Johnny has collected an extremely good ensemble of work on this album, his interesting use of traditional didgeridoo in certain tracks works well and the vocals which have strength and serenity to them that makes you listen with your heart.

Koori Love is easy to enjoy, easy to sing along to and easy to dance to.
