This story originally appeared in Deadly Vibe Magazine Issue #6 July, 1997

We have just opened The Vault – all the back stories from old editions – dating back to the 1990s. To know where we are going, it's important to understand where we have been. And that story you can follow in the Deadly Vibe Vault!

It’s Deadly Vibe time again and this month we’ve got the man. The deadly man. The cool, no the super cool, Mr David Page showcased for your reading and viewing pleasure. How spectacular does he look gracing our cover?

We’re proud to have David on our cover. We at Deadly Sounds and Deadly Vibe have been big, big fans for many years. He has entertained us, enlightened us and excited us many times so much in fact that he has been the winner of the National Deadly Sounds Music Award for Excellence in Film or Theatrical Score for two consecutive years with Ochres in 1995 and Alchemy in 1996. He also does a pretty special version of Hound Dog on request.

We also bring you up and coming twanging sensation Mr. Leroy Cummins. Man of little words but lots of talent. For those lucky enough to hear him play side by side the likes of Christine Anu you know, his guitaring is fantastic and amongst the best in Australia.

In sports we look at golf and rugby as well as running a couple of competitions to win a CD or two.

Hope you enjoy this month’s Deadly Vibe and don’t forget to keep those letters to the editor coming in.
