Klub Koori

Feel the Beat

Klub Koori gets Sydney hip-hopping.

One of the most popular segments of the Sydney Festival is the Beck’s Festival Bar, held each year at Hyde Park Barracks and featuring some of the most exciting contemporary acts and artists from Australia and overseas.

A pumping outdoor music venue, this year’s Beck’s Festival Bar will feature acts from Jamaica, Brazil, France, USA, Canada, New Zealand and the UK.

But most exciting of all will be the Sydney Festival debut of Klub Koori, Sydney’s popular Indigenous hip hop event. Home-grown acts Wire MC, Street Warriors, Sean Choolburra, Radical Son, Last Kinection and Brothablack will be joining forces with LA artist Busdriver who shakes things up with his unique, alt-hip hop, jazzy free-association rap and surreal narratives.

Klub Koori will be appearing at Beck’s Festival Bar at the Hyde Park Barracks Museum from January 6-26, 2008.
