Outback Fest 2014

UluruOutback Fest will be held at Ayers Rock Resort from 2 – 5 May, celebrating the outback and featuring the Uluru Camel Cup Race Day complete with Fashions on the Field, the annual event highlight.

One of the key activities includes the Outback BBQ Bash and Uluru Camel Cup Calcutta featuring boot-scooting and live country music. The weekend will culminate with a true blue Frock Up & Rock Up Outback Ball set under the night sky, complete with a red desert dance floor and live entertainment.

“Outback Fest is an annual event which is part our major events program in 2014. We believe that Outback Fest enhances the already strong guest experience on offer at the spiritual heart of Australia and gives an even better reason for people to plan a trip to Uluru,” said Ray Stone, Voyages Executive General Manager Sales Marketing and Distribution.

“The majority of activities offered at Outback Fest are free to all guests or charged at a nominal rate, such as $5 for general admission into the event’s main attraction, the Uluru Camel Cup Race Day. Additional charges are applicable for attendance at the special Sounds of Silence dinner and the Frock Up & Rock Up Outback Ball,” added Ray.

Other Festival highlights include the Voyages ‘Maiden’ Camel Races and a lively interactive market precinct at Ayers Rock Resort’s Town Square where regional providores will showcase their produce and traditional bush foods can be sampled.
