Supply Nation, Australia’s premier B2B membership body dedicated to growing Indigenous diversity in the nation’s supply chains will hold its annual conference, Connect 2014 on 26-27 May 2014.
Connect 2014 brings together corporate and government buyers with Certified Indigenous Suppliers and is solely focused on growing and developing business opportunities and relationships.
A leading edge conference informed by the learnings of the nation’s most successful Indigenous businesses – as well as corporates and government Members experiencing the value of diversity – will kick off Connect 2014 on 26 May 2014 at the Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney.
An Indigenous Business Tradeshow on the 27 May 2014, also taking place at the Racecourse venue, aims to connect Indigenous Suppliers with corporates and government Members. This will be followed by a Gala Dinner Awards Night, Australia’s only event of its kind, recognising the achievements and the excellence of Supply Nation’s Indigenous Suppliers and Members.
Supply Nation CEO Charles Prouse believes Connect 2014 offers value to Indigenous businesses and Australia’s corporate sector across multi levels.
“Businesses using Indigenous suppliers are experiencing real value in incorporating diversity within supply chains. Diversity brings with it innovation because it steps outside of doing things the same way over a long term,” he says.
“Indigenous suppliers have a unique offering to wider Australia, incorporating new perspectives that are proving successful. At Supply Nation, we have many examples of success stories which we aim to share with Connect 2014 delegates.
“Connect 2014 will also offer delegates an international perspective and we have staff members attending the National Minority Supplier Development Council Conference and Business Opportunity Fair in Texas later this month, and these learnings will be incorporated into Connect 2014.”
Aboriginal owned and operated media and events specialists, and Supply Nation Certified, Gavin Jones Communications will be assisting in the production of Connect 2014. Planning is well underway to ensure that this year’s event is the best yet.
“Registrations open in early November and we’ll also be talking more about the conference agenda in the coming months, so that potential delegates can see the value in attending,” Mr Prouse says.
“Learning, networking and connecting are opportunities we will definitely be offering at Connect 2014.”
