After being linked with Cronulla for a few seasons, Blaine finally clinched a place in the first grade and performed strongly throughout the 2000 NRL season.
In the round 18 match, Cronulla took on the North Queensland Cowboys and Blaine led the Sharks to a demolishing victory, scoring two tries and kicking seven goals to gain a personal tally of 22 points for the match.
Blaine has confidence in his playing ability and continues to impress fans with his unique style of play. Yes, he will have to work extra hard to cement his spot in the first grade with Cronulla, but Blaine has the skill and talent to see this dream through.

Blaine Stanley – South Sydney Rabbitohs (Ex-Cronulla Sharks) 2002
In the short time that he was playing first grade for Cronulla, Blaine demonstrated he was quality stuff. A nippy halfback who is quick on his feet, Blaine can create real opportunities for his team-mates. A good scrum base is a major priority for all teams, so if he can handle the responsibility and pressure, then the Rabbitohs will surely be a major force in NRL.
